Before you renew your Wisconsin veterinary credential, you must first complete your required continuing education (CE).
Veterinary credential holders in Wisconsin are exempt from the CE requirement at their first renewal only. All other credential holders must have completed the following CE hours sometime during the current two−year licensure or certification period:
- Veterinary Medicine: 30 hours
- Veterinary Technician: 15 hours
All veterinary credential holders are required to maintain copies of their CE certificates for a minimum of five years.
Your signature at renewal will attest that you have completed the required CE; you do not need to provide copies of the certificates unless you are asked to do so.
For more information, please review the Veterinary Examining Board’s rules.
