Retail Fueling Facility Compliance Training for Owners and Operators 

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection's Bureau of Weights and Measures will be conducting retail fueling facility compliance training for owners and operators in Madison, Milwaukee, and Eau Claire in 2017. This training will provide an opportunity for retail fueling facility owners and operators to obtain basic operational compliance training directly from Weights and Measures inspection, permitting and compliance staff on what to expect during storage tank, fuel quality, and gas pump inspections. This training will identify the common problems found during inspections, and provide guidance on how to improve compliance at retail fueling facilities. Pre-registration is required for these trainings.

Training & Continuing Education Opportunity: Purpora UST Boot Camp - September 12-15, 2017 

UST Boot Camp Purpora Engineering, Inc. is offering a 3.5 day training course designed to provide a thorough understanding of ATG’s, leak detection, cathodic protection and testing relating to underground storage tanks. Topics will now also include the RP1200 and new EPA rules taking effect in 2018. Industry experts and hands on training provide an intense 3.5 days of learning. Continuing Education Credit Requirements for Storage Tank Certifications

Wisconsin Administrative Code SPS 305 requires AST Installers, UST Installers, and Tank System Inspectors to obtain 12 Continuing Education Credits (CEC) within the 2 year certification period in order to renew their certification. Certified individuals that do not obtain the required CECs must retake the exam in order to renew.

An approved course may provide continuing education credits for more than one SPS 305 credential that an individual holds.

Continuing Education Credit Providers

If you would like to become a CEC Provider, or need to renew a course approval, please complete the continuing education course application and return it to DATCPWeightsandMeasures@wisconsin.gov.

CEC Providers are required to submit course rosters within 10 days of the completion of the course using the required continuing education course roster.
