LPG meters are commercial meters used to measure liquefied petroleum gas sold or delivered to a consumer (a consumer is anyone who buys LP to use rather than resell). Effective January 2011, any person operating an LPG meter must be licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). The annual license fee per meter is $60, and the license period is December 1st – November 30th. The fee is not prorated for partial years, and licenses are not transferable between operators or meters.
