The Safe Wisconsin Produce (SWP) Registry provides produce farms in Wisconsin with a means of publicly displaying their participation with the Produce Safety Rule (PSR), in terms of receiving education by the SWP team, confirming their PSR status and reporting their audit or inspection results when applicable. This information may assist produce farmers with obtaining market access and offer assurance to end-consumers looking for local, safe and wholesome produce.
Farms are voluntarily added to this registry after having requested involvement on the SWP annual survey or after having completed a mandated PSR inspection or voluntary SWP audit. Not all farms in the state of Wisconsin are included in the registry, nor is this an inclusive list of operations in compliance.
While all registered farms include a status, only inspected and audited farms show results, noting that only some farms are required to complete these regulatory visits. Information obtained from the annual survey will be updated as often as possible; however, farm inspection and audit dates may be older than one year as these are generally conducted once every three years or greater.
