DATCP Issues Waiver from PRRS and PEDv Requirements
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has issued a waiver to testing requirements and movement restrictions related to porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) and porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDv) in Wis. Admin. Code chs. ATCP 10 and 12.
Swine moving into and within Wisconsin are no longer required to be tested for PRRS and PEDv as a result of this waiver. Import permits are no longer required for untested swine imported into Wisconsin. CVIs and official identification are still required. The waiver is effective immediately and can be
accessed online.
The movement rules below apply to markets licensed through the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection that are open to the public for the trade of livestock.
