Applicators who supervise soil fumigant applicants must complete EPA-approved training specific to the active ingredients used. In Wisconsin, state certification in the soil fumigant subcategory and licensing fulfill the EPA training requirement.
If you have not been certified in the soil fumigant subcategory since new requirements took effect in 2013, you need to do so before applying soil fumigants. You may want to take all of your certification exams at the same time. This is because all of your certifications expire at the same time, so you would need to retake the soil fumigant test when you renew your other certifications.
