USDA Agricultural Trade Mission to Bangkok, Thailand

From February 3 to 6, 2025, DATCP staff participated in the USDA Agricultural Trade Mission to Bangkok, Thailand. This mission was lead by Acting Associate Administrator Patrick Packnett and Agricultural Counselor Kelly Strange. The goal was to boost U.S. and Wisconsin agricultural exports and continue to build long term relationships. Thailand is Wisconsin's 21st largest export market; in 2024 the state's exports to Thailand totaled $28 million dollars and grew 30% year-over-year. This fast-developing market has a strong interest in Wisconsin products such as dairy, meat, dried fruits, ginseng, and craft alcoholic beverages.

During this mission, DATCP staff met with staff from USDA, cooperator groups, exporters to Thailand, and buyers, and discussed with all how to improve Wisconsin’s exports to the region. We look forward to continuing to build on this long term relationship.

WonderMilk provides nutrient analysis on feed and offers supplements or grain additives to boost nutrient levels, which demonstrates the increased production that can be achieved with TMR.
