Animals shipped from Wisconsin must meet the import requirements of the state or nation of destination. That information can be obtained from the state of destination or from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA/APHIS).
Wisconsin does not have specific export requirements.
If your business exports animals or animal products to other countries, or if you want to learn more about doing business overseas, information and assistance are available from the Wisconsin International Trade Team in DATCP’s Division of Agricultural Development.
