“Joe Tregoning was a great public servant and an even better man. He proudly represented Southwest Wisconsin in the legislature and advocated for all farmers as Deputy Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). Long after his retirement, Joe was a frequent and welcome visitor to the department, connecting with staff and working on projects that benefitted agriculture. All the while, he never forgot his roots in Southwest Wisconsin’s rural communities. We are grateful to Joe’s son Josh, and his entire family, for sharing him with the State of Wisconsin for so many years.”
