MADISON – A public hearing scheduled for November 30 will allow the public to comment on proposed rule revisions relating to the definition of veterinary medical surgery.
The Veterinary Examining Board has proposed a rule revision that would broaden the current definition of surgery. Currently, the definition of surgery, for veterinary medical practice is limited to procedures that are for therapeutic purposes. The change would allow for other types of surgeries including reproductive, cosmetic and other purposes that do not fall clearly within the category of therapeutic.
The hearing is scheduled for:
Wednesday, November 30, 2016, 3 to 7 p.m., State Agriculture Building, 2811 Agriculture Drive, board room
