Domestic Trade Show Opportunity at National Restaurant Show Proves Popular and Successful

From May 17 to 20, representatives from Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI), Driftless Provisions, La Crosse Distilling Co., Maple Valley Cooperative, and The Pink Bakery joined DATCP staff in Chicago, IL, to exhibit at the National Restaurant Association Show. In addition to exhibiting, companies met with highly qualified international buyers through the food buyer mission coordinated by Food Export Midwest & Northeast. Several also joined National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) activities, where they received one-on-one expert coaching on international logistics and had opportunites to meet with additional international buyers.

Throughout the show, companies displayed their products to potential clients from the U.S. and around the world. La Crosse Distilling Co., Maple Valley Cooperative, Associated Milk Producers Inc., and Driftless Provisions were also selected to have products featured in a live chef demonstration and sampled by hundreds of attendees. Over 50,000 people attended the four-day show.

During the week, DATCP staff met with additional international buyers, State Departments of Agriculture, USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) staff, NASDA staff, and other key stakeholders to discuss the future of Wisconsin agricultural exports.​
