MADISON – Wisconsin’s ginseng producers have re-elected one director, Ronald Krautkramer, Athens, and elected another director, Keary Drath, Ogdensburg, to the industry’s market orders board. They will serve a three-year term, starting July 1.

The seven-member Ginseng Board of Wisconsin is responsible for overseeing the collection and use of about $170,000 in assessment fees paid by Wisconsin ginseng producers. The money is used to support the industry through research, market development and consumer education.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) administers elections for the Ginseng Board of Wisconsin and other commodity marketing boards in the state.
