During
the week of March 9-13, DATCP provided a Wisconsin Pavilion at FoodEx where
Blue River Trading, Ellsworth, Hinterland Brewery, Hoards Dairyman, Hollander Chocolate, Masters Gallery Foods, and Orange Cheese all exhibited and
were able to showcase their quality products to quality global buyers and
importers. FoodEx Japan is the premier food and beverage exhibition in Japan
and continues to set new standards in the industry. This year was the 50th
anniversary edition of the show and we saw over 74,000 visitors come through
the show floor with business deals in the making that will result in hundreds
of thousands of new products making their way into the Asian market. We were
honored to welcome Daniel Whitley, FAS Administrator along with
Minister-Counselor Jeanne Bailey, U.S. Embassy Tokyo to our DATCP Pavilion.
DATCP staff and participating companies engaged in conversations of continued
growth of Wisconsin food and ag exports not only to Japan but the entire region.
