Lake States Lumber Association 2026 Winter Meeting

Staff from DATCP's International Agribusiness Center (IABC), along with 79th Alice in Dairyland Sarah Hagenow, kicked off 2026 by attending the Lake States Lumber Association (LASA) 2026 Winter Meeting January 14-15 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

This event brought together more than 100 forestry and wood products professionals and marked LSLA's first winter meeting with Alice in Dairyland, who highlighted forestry products as a vital part of Wisconsin agriculture. The program also featured an international outlook on U.S. hardwood markets presented by Mike Snow of the American Hardwood Export Council.

IABC staff provided on-site export support, including guidance on phytosanitary certificates in collaboration with DATCP's Agricultural Resource Management Division, and worked with Food Export-Midwest to connect companies with Branded Program export assistance. DATCP was one of the sponsors of the event, funded by the Wisconsin Initiative for Agricultural Exports. It was a great event that allowed for strong engagement between DATCP and the forestry industry.
