On June 16, 2026, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection staff from the International Agribusiness Center were joined by American Foods Group, AMPI, Briess Malt & Ingredients Co. Croix Valley, Sara's Artisan Gelato, Grande Cheese Company, Hinterland Brewery, Hoard's Dairyman, J. Henry & Sons, Masters Gallery Foods, Inc., Meister Cheese Co, Moundview Dairy (Paisa), Nasonville Dairy, Inc., Sartori Company, Schuman Cheese, Schreiber Foods, Van Holten's Pickles, Wisconsin Aging & Grading Cheese, Inc. (WAG), and state associations such as Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, Ginseng Board Of Wisconsin, Wisconsin State Cranberry Association, and the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association to exhibit at the North American Railgate event in Monterrey, Mexico. This event was planned in conjunction with the World Cup, Canadian Pacific Kansas City Rail (CPKC), and the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) to celebrate the prolonged trilateral agriculture trade between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico with a World Cup-themed agriculture supply chain popup trade show and rail logistics presentations. This event fostered informal networking and brought together key representatives across the agricultural supply chain to strengthen and grow rail-based exports to Mexico. Mexico is Wisconsin’s number two market for agricultural exports, and the fastest growing market by dollar value. The awareness that the Wisconsin pavilion brought has now put Wisconsin square on the map for several large retailers in Mexico, and we look forward to continuing to work with them to source more products from Wisconsin.
