From August 30-September 3, eight Wisconsin companies exhibited within the Wisconsin Pavillion at Fine Food in Melbourne, Australia. DATCP collaborated with Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin (DFW) and U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) to host a 108 square meter booth showcasing some of Wisconsin’s finest specialty cheeses. DATCP also had a booth featuring Wisconsin cranberries, BBQ sauces, and ginseng. The USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs opened the trade show with a ceremonial ribbon cutting in front of the two Wisconsin booths and spent time talking with Wisconsin company representatives while tasting their quality products. DATCP staff and Wisconsin company representatives had a busy week meeting with several key buyers and distributors within the market while attending the USDA market briefing, a retail tour, USDA tailgate reception, and USDEC’s Great American Roadmap Cheese Road Trip to Australian Tables event.
