From April 8-11, Wisconsin companies Agropur and Masters Gallery exhibited within the Wisconsin Pavilion at the Anuga Select Brazil tradeshow in São Paulo, Brazil! Columbia Grain, representing Great River Milling, also exhibited within the USA Pavilion. The Brazilian market is the largest in Latin America, with the food sector worth more than $472 billion. It is the fifth largest country in the world, with the seventh largest population and the tenth largest economy.
Representatives from these Wisconsin companies and staff from DATCP's International Agribusiness Center participated in a retail store tour; attended a market briefing; and met with buyers, distributors, USDEC officials, USDA-Foreign Agricultural Service staff from Sao Paulo, Agricultural Trade Office staff from Brasília, and with Consul General David Hodge over the course of the week.
