Wisconsin law requires that engineers employed by county drainage boards must be from a list approved by the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. DATCP solicits applications from consulting engineers. It screens them for engineering experience related to water resources and agricultural practices and to verify that they are professional engineers licensed in Wisconsin.
Inclusion on this list is not an endorsement by DATCP. Drainage boards should interview consultants before hiring them to determine that they are qualified to perform the specific work required.
An application for engineers who would like to be included on the list are available at right.
