Can I be charged by a child care provider that has closed as a result of COVID-19?
If child care providers and families have entered into a contract for services, they should rely on the terms of the contract. We encourage child care providers and families they serve to reach mutually agreeable resolution.
Can I be charged by a child care provider to save my spot for when the public emergency ends?
Some child care providers may require a fee to retain a spot in their program during this crisis. Programs should work with families under financial stress because of the current crisis to arrive at a fair resolution when charging those fees. Again, programs should adhere to existing contracts with families and honor previously agreed upon arrangements.
