We license any person or business that grows Christmas trees in Wisconsin for eventual sale. If you grow both Christmas trees and nursery stock, you will also need a Nursery Grower License in addition to your Christmas Tree Grower License. This change took effect in 2009. You will complete the same application packet for both the nursery grower license and the Christmas tree grower license. If you also plan to buy and re-sell at least $250 of nursery stock, you must also obtain a Nursery Dealer License.

List of Licensed Christmas Tree Growers (Excel file) Updated June 3, 2013
The following is a list of licensed Wisconsin Christmas tree growers. A rule change in 2009 requires that growers raising Christmas trees and nursery stock hold both a Christmas Tree Grower License and a Nursery Grower License. If these Christmas tree growers also raise nursery stock, they are now part of this list.
Shipping or Exporting Nursery Stock
When Wisconsin plants, nursery stock or landscape trees and shrubs are shipped to another state or country, the destination location may require that the plants or plant products be inspected and certified as free of insects or diseases. The certification is often called a phytosanitary certificate and may be provided by DATCP or USDA.
