From June 17-21, 2024, eight Wisconsin companies exhibited within the Wisconsin Pavillion at the Alimentec tradeshow in Bogota, Colombia. Participating companies included BelGioioso, Bioionix, Colombia Grain, Croix Valley, Hinterland Brewery, Moundview Dairy, Sartori, and Tropical Foods. Agropur and Schreiber Foods were also supported within the USA Pavilion.
Alimentec is one of the largest South American food shows and is now a USDA-endorsed tradeshow. Wisconsin company representatives and staff from DATCP's International Agribusiness Center met with buyers and distributors, participated in a retail tour, attended an in-market briefing by USDA-Foreign Agricultural Service staff from Bogota and Venezuela, attended a USDA reception, and met the United States Ambassador to Colombia, Francisco Palmieri.
