DATCP's Bureau of Business Trade Practices regulates unfair business practices and methods of competition that harm consumers and honest businesses. The Bureau protects agricultural producers against catastrophic defaults by grain dealers, grain warehouse keepers, milk contractors and vegetable contractors through the Agricultural Producer Security Program (Wisconsin Statues Chapter 126). The Bureau also grades and certifies grain, fruits and vegetables to facilitate commodity marketing.
