How to Submit Hemp Licensee Documents Using MyDATCP

You can submit the following documents using MyDATCP:

  • Location amendments
  • Planting reports
  • 30-day harvest notification

If you have questions or concerns, email datcpindustrialhemp@wisconsin.gov​ or call toll-free at (844) 449-4367 and include your license number(s).

How to Register and Login to MyDATCP 

If you have already registered for a MyDATCP account, go to step 2.

1. Register for a new MyDATCP account

  • Go to https://mydatcp.wi.gov
  • Click on “Register” in the top right corner
  • Follow the instructions under “Register with DATCP” to create a new account
  • PIN: See your most recent expiration notice. The hemp program will also be mailing and emailing licensees their PIN or login information.

2. Login to MyDATCP

  • Go to https://mydatcp.wi.gov
  • Click on “Log On” in the top right corner
  • Enter your MyDATCP username (your email address)
  • Enter your password 
  • Go to the “My Services Tab” and click on the license number to submit license amendments, planting reports, and 30-day harvest notifications.

Submit a License Amendment: Add, Change, or Remove Locations 

1. From the “My Services Tab” click on the correct license number.

2. To add a new location, click on “Make an Amendment to this location”, then click “add a location to license.”

  • Enter the location address, location directions, location name, location type (field or greenhouse), and specify if you own or lease this location.
  • Use GPS center-point map to add GPS coordinates. If you are unable to see a map here, you will need to turn on your location services on your device. There may have been a pop-up that appeared to allow you to do this.
  • Click submit and return to the My Services tab

3. Change an existing location by clicking on the option “Amend” listed under the property you want to change.

  • Make the changes.
  • Use GPS center-point map to add GPS coordinates. If you are unable to see a map here, you will need to turn on your location services on your device. There may have been a pop up that appeared to allow you to do this. 
  • Submit your digital form and return to the My Services tab.

4. Remove an existing location by clicking on the option “Remove” listed under the property you want to remove.

  • Click “I confirm” and submit and return to the My Services tab.

Reminder: DATCP reviews amendments before they are finalized. The first amendment is free, additional amendments will incur a cost of a minimum $50. Invoices will be mailed or emailed to you.

Submit a Planting Report

You must submit one planting report for each lot of hemp planted. “Lot” means a contiguous area in a field, greenhouse, facility, or growing structure containing the same variety or strain of hemp throughout the area. Each growing location can contain one or more lots, fields, or greenhouses.

1. Select the correct location for this planting and complete the questions.

2. “Have you planted or propagated?” Select yes or no. Propagate means to reproduce.

  • Yes, means you have planted or reproduced hemp.
    • Enter the GPS points for the planted lot.
    • If needed, add another variety to this location.
  • No, means you have not planted or reproduced any hemp. 
    • ​Submit your form and return to active location screen at MyDATCP.

After 60 minutes you will be able to see your submitted planting report info in MyDATCP.

Submit a 30-Day Harvest Notification

You must submit one 30-day harvest notification for each lot of hemp planted. “Lot” means a contiguous area in a field, greenhouse, facility, or growing structure containing the same variety or strain of hemp throughout the area. Each growing location can contain one or more lots, fields, or greenhouses.

1. Select the correct lot you want to provide a 30-day harvest notification for.

2. Enter all of the information for the lot on the e-form.

3. Submit the e-form.

4. Return to active location screen at MyDATCP.

You cannot submit a 30-day harvest notification until there is a planting report listed for that location.

About MyDATCP

What is MyDATCP?

MyDATCP is an online service portal through the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) that allows you to look at your license information. You can log into MyDATCP to apply for new licenses, applications, permits, and to pay invoices from DATCP.

The following actions are currently not available using MyDATCP:

  • Change your business headquarters address for your hemp licenses.
  • Change your operations manager or license contacts for your hemp license.
  • Change your mailing address for your hemp licenses.
  • Submit a destruction report.
  • Submit a variety approval or variety notification.

More information about the different sections in MyDATCP are described below.

My Profile Tab

Use this tab to do the following:

  • Maintain your MyDATCP profile information.
  • Change your registered email, password, and security questions.

The My Profile information is not the same as your license or certification or permit information.

There are multiple programs that DATCP manages and each program uses MyDATCP differently. Contact the program for each of your license(s), registration(s), or certificate(s) for how to make changes.

My Services Tab 

  • Allows you to view your pending, active, and historical applications
  • When you use MyDATCP for submitting hemp location changes, planting report, and 30-day harvest notifications, the My Services Tab is where you will start from.
  • If you want to apply for additional licenses, for example if you are a licensed hemp grower and want to apply for a hemp processor license, see the licenses button on the left.
  • Once you apply for a license, your pending application will be under My Pending applications. Keep in mind that the Hemp Program will not start processing your license further until you submit payment of any fees required for the application process.
  • If you have an expired registration for a grower or processor license you can click on reapply under available actions to start the re-application process for the current year. 

My Active Application

Under the My Services tab, is My Active Application.

This feature allows you to see details about current license(s), registration(s), and certifications. Other than submitting hemp location changes, hemp planting reports, and hemp 30-day harvest notifications; most of these details cannot be edited.

At the top of the page under “adjustments to your license,” you can add a location to the license, remove a location, make an amendment to a location, submit a planting report for a location, and submit a 30-day harvest notification for each variety.

You cannot submit a 30-day harvest notification until there is a planting report listed for that location.

Historical Applications

Includes information about license(s), certification(s), or registration(s) that are no longer current.

Access and pay for invoices from DATCP.
