Wisconsin Farm Center Counseling Voucher Program

Note: If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or know someone who is considering harming his or her self, call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 immediately.

Farming is a difficult occupation that often comes with challenges causing stress. One of the best ways to cope with stress is to seek counseling from a licensed mental health counselor.

Farmers and/or their families are eligible to obtain counseling vouchers covering one hour of professional counseling at no cost through a program funded by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

After contacting the Wisconsin Farm Center and deemed eligible, three (3) vouchers will be sent to you or a family member and you will have 90 days to redeem each voucher at a participating provider of your choice. The Wisconsin Farm Center also will provide a list of counselors participating in the program, however, you are welcome to reach out to providers on your own. Once you select a provider, you will need to contact the provider to set up an appointment, let the provider know you are participating in the voucher program, and present the voucher at the appointment.

Each voucher can be converted to one hour of counseling services from a licensed counselor. After using all three (3) vouchers, additional vouchers may be obtained upon request.
