​Dairy, Deli, Bakery Buyers Mission at the 2020 IDDBA Show

When: May 31-June 1, 2020

The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDBBA), will be conducting a Dairy, Deli, Bakery Buyers Mission. Mission participants will meet with pre-qualified buyers from around the world in pre-arranged, one-on-one meetings, generate new sales leads, and build relationships with key industry players. ​Focused Trade Mission to China

When: August 9-12, 2020

Where: Shanghai and Wuhan

It is clear China’s increasing wealth had led to an increase in the consumption of imported food and agricultural products. 2016 exports of U.S. agricultural products rose six percent to US$21.4 billion as the country regained its top rank as a destination. That represented an increase of 87 percent. In 2016, U.S. exports of consumer-oriented food products to China amounted to US$2.2 billion. China remains the sixth largest market for consumer-ready food products from the U.S. China also remains the fifth largest market for the export of U.S. processed foods, totaling US$1.7 billion in 2016.

Focused Trade Mission to Vietnam

When: August 13-14, 2020

Where: Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam is the second largest U.S. export market for consumer food products in Southeast Asia after Philippines and 12th overall. The 2018 total was US$980 million, up an impressive 22 percent from the same period in the prior year and a new record high. Vietnam is also a major importer of U.S. processed foods, totaling US$628 million in 2018, and another tremendous growth rate of 34 percent from November 2017.

Trade Mission to Saudi Arabia and VIV Middle East in United Arab Emirates

When: August 24-September 3, 2020

Where: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will lead Wisconsin businesses to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia followed by exhibiting at the VIV Middle East agriculture trade show in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Wisconsin businesses interested in building and expanding trade in the Middle East and North Africa are invited to attend. Abu Dhabi, capital of United Arab Emirates, serves as the gateway for agricultural markets in the Middle East and Africa, which are in a high-growth phase, with large amounts of imports coming from the U.S. In 2018, the United Arab Emirates totaled $1.0 billion in U.S. agricultural exports, while Saudi Arabia as the largest agricultural country in the region totaled $1.4 billion in U.S. agricultural exports.

Food Show Plus! At Seoul Food and Hotel

When: September 15-18, 2020

Where: Kintex, Seoul

Imports of American consumer oriented food products into Korea in 2017 ended in a growth mode and totaled US$3.8 billion, an increase of 12 percent from the previous year and the highest total on record. Korea now ranks fifth as an overall destination for these products. Korea is also a top market for U.S. processed food exports, which totaled nearly US$1.9 billion in 2017 and grew 10 percent over the previous year. Korea is the fourth largest market for U.S. processed foods. In 2017, the U.S. remained the leading exporter of food and agricultural products to Korea with 25 percent market share.

Value-Added Feed Ingredients Buyers Mission at the 2020 World Dairy Expo​

When: September 30, 2020

Where: Madison, Wisconsin

Enhance your feed and feed ingredients sales during World Dairy Expo this year with scheduled one-on-one meetings with qualified international buyers of valued-added feed and feed ingredients. All Japan Holstein Show & Trade Mission 

When: October 27–November 3, 2020   

Where: Miyazaki, Japan

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will lead Wisconsin agricultural businesses to exhibit at the All Japan Holstein show http://www.15th-holstein.jp/ in Miyazaki with business visit in the area. Wisconsin agricultural businesses interested in building and expanding business in Japan, are invited to participate. The All Japan Holstein Show will mark its 15th year in 2020. Held once every five years, it serves as a social exchange for dairy enthusiasts to gather to further develop and expand the dairy industry.  Out of the 1,330,000 cows in Japan, 99% are Holstein.  Japan is eager to advance its genetics and improve milk production through innovative technologies to supply its consumers with safe, wholesome and reliable milk and dairy products. With over 66,000 attendees in 2015, this year's show is sure to bring record attendance.​

Cost    $3,500 for full furnished booth of 3.6m width X 1.8m depth; $2,000 for shared furnished space of 3.6m width X 1.8m depth (half of above standard booth)

Food Show Plus! At Food Taipei

When: December 17-20, 2020

Where: Taipei, Taiwan

Taiwan ranks 8th as an overall export market for agricultural products. In 2018, Taiwan imported $4.13 billion of food and agricultural commodities, an increase of 18 percent from 2017, making the US the leading foreign supplier, with 36 percent total import market share. The US also leads market share among other countries in consumer-oriented products, taking a 30 percent share. 

Products of interest include food preparations, processed vegetables and pulses, processed/prepared dairy products, non-alcoholic beverages, snack foods, dog and cat food, beer and wine, processed fruit, chocolate and confectionary, and prepared/preserved seafood.
