Fine Food Australia is the country’s leading trade exhibition, and has been connecting buyers and sellers within the food service, hospitality and retail industries for more than 34 years. Australia is a prosperous, politically and economically stable, industrialized nation. U.S. exports of agricultural products have grown almost 150% in the last 10 years. In 2016, Australia imported nearly $1.3 billion of U.S. food and agricultural products, and consumer oriented products accounted for nearly 80% of U.S. total agricultural exports last year.

Espacio Food & Service Show - Focused Trade Mission for Retail Food to Chile

When: September 10-12, 2019
Where: Santiago, Chile                              

Chile is the largest market for U.S. consumer food exports in South America. The U.S. and Chile have a Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which entered into force in 2004. As of 2015, all trade tariffs were successfully eliminated and 100% of all U.S. exports enter Chile duty-free. 

The 2017 total of consumer food exports to Chile grew a whopping 39% to nearly US$676 million, a new record high by US$175 million. U.S. processed food product exports to Chile totaled US$472.4 million, up 35% and also a new record high by about US$66 million.

Food Show Plus! At Seoul Food and Hotel

When: May 18-22, 2020
Where: Kintex, Seoul

Imports of American consumer oriented food products into Korea in 2017 ended in a growth mode and totaled US$3.8 billion, an increase of 12 percent from the previous year and the highest total on record. Korea now ranks fifth as an overall destination for these products. Korea is also a top market for U.S. processed food exports, which totaled nearly US$1.9 billion in 2017 and grew 10 percent over the previous year. Korea is the fourth largest market for U.S. processed foods. In 2017, the U.S. remained the leading exporter of food and agricultural products to Korea with 25 percent market share.

Focused Trade Mission to China

When: August 9-12, 2020
Where: Shanghai and Wuhan

It is clear China’s increasing wealth had led to an increase in the consumption of imported food and agricultural products. 2016 exports of U.S. agricultural products rose six percent to US$21.4 billion as the country regained its top rank as a destination. That represented an increase of 87 percent. In 2016, U.S. exports of consumer-oriented food products to China amounted to US$2.2 billion. China remains the sixth largest market for consumer-ready food products from the U.S. China also remains the fifth largest market for the export of U.S. processed foods, totaling US$1.7 billion in 2016.

Focused Trade Mission to Vietnam

When: August 13-14, 2020
Where: Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam is the second largest U.S. export market for consumer food products in Southeast Asia after Philippines and 12th overall. The 2018 total was US$980 million, up an impressive 22 percent from the same period in the prior year and a new record high. Vietnam is also a major importer of U.S. processed foods, totaling US$628 million in 2018, and another tremendous growth rate of 34 percent from November 2017.
