Opening PDFs in Firefox
Some users find that Firefox freezes when they attempt to open PDFs in the browser. If you are experiencing difficulty opening PDFs in Firefox, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
- Download and install the Firefox PDF add-on, 3.0.0.1, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pdf-download/. You will find installation instructions on the download page.
- Uninstall Firefox and reinstall it.
If completing the steps above does not resolve the problem, uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader and reinstall it. The Reader can be found here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/
NOTE: If you are trying to open the Nutrient Management forms on this page, http://datcp.wi.gov/Farms/Nutrient_Management/Planning/index.aspx, complete Steps 1 and 2 above only. Do not upgrade Adobe Acrobat Reader from Version 9.0 to 10.0 or you will not be able to view and print the maps.
