Petition Materials

Designation of an agricultural enterprise area (AEA) is based upon evaluation of a petition submitted for consideration by the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection in response to a request for petitions. Petitions must be submitted jointly by landowners and town and county governments where the proposed area is located.

The department is currently accepting petitions for designation of Agricultural Enerprise Areas. Petitions must be postmarked by March 29, 2013.

Petition materials for modifying a Designated Area

Designated AEAs may submit a petition to modify the area by adding acreage. These petitions must be submitted during the call for petitions and will be considered with along with other submitted petitions.
