Siting Statute
In 2003, the
Wisconsin Legislature passed a law to provide a system for more uniform regulation of
livestock facilities statewide.
Livestock Siting Rule and Standards
The siting rule
implements the law and contains the
siting standards.

A -Application and

local approval and five worksheets designed to determine if a proposed new facility or expansion meets
standards for odor and water
quality.
