Clean Sweep

Hazardous Waste Collection for Households

The Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection now provides collection services to households through Wisconsin Clean Sweep. DATCP provides financial and technical assistance to counties and municipalities who seek and obtain state grants in order to provide collection services. Homeowners can dispose of household chemicals at collection sites.

Each county and municipality sets its own rules and procedures for collecting household hazardous waste. Contact your local program coordinator for information on possible fees, accepted materials, and other information.
