Consumer Law at Your Fingertips
Motor Vehicle Rentals
Wisconsin law regulates car rental company damage claims against consumers (see Wisconsin Statutes sections 344.57 to 344.579). A car rental company that offers “damage waivers” for a price must give consumers a written notice explaining their rights and responsibilities. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection administers this law, and has adopted damage waiver rules. For more information, see Motor Vehicle Rentals details.
