Asbestos & Lead Abatement

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS):

  • Investigates and provides information related to public health hazards, including hazardous building materials. See Wisconsin Statutes chapter 254, subchapter II.
  • Administers programs related to asbestos and lead exposure, including building certification, contractor certification and hazard reduction. See Wisconsin Statutes chapter 254, subchapter II.
