Export Assistance from the Wisconsin International Trade Team

The Wisconsin International Trade Team is a collaboration of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. Below is a list of services we offer to Wisconsin food and agricultural companies.

Exporter Resources
This page contains links to various state and federal organizations that provide services and assistance to food and agricultural exporters. Also available are tools, from pricing your product to responding to international requests that will help facilitate the export process.

International Consultations
Consultants will meet with you one-on-one to help evaluate your firm’s export readiness and answer any questions relating to the export process. To request a consultation contact one of our international marketing staff. Free of charge.

Food Export Helpline
The Food Export Helpline offers customized export assistance to companies with questions relating to food and agricultural exports. No question is too big or too small. Free of charge.

Branded Program
The Branded Program provides 50% cost reimbursement for a wide variety of international marketing activities.

Market Builder
The Market Builder service provides customized in-market research to help you decide if certain markets are appropriate for your product(s) and how your product compares to the competition. If conditions look positive for your product in a market, our in-market representatives will identify potential importers and/or distributors, contact them to determine their interest in your product, obtain background information for you, and arrange meetings and follow-up with those candidates that best meet your needs. Service available for 32 countries.

Buyers' Missions

Food Show PLUS!
This service provides exhibitors at international tradeshows with the information and in-market support needed to be fully prepared for the event.

Export documentation and certificates
All food and agricultural exports need to be accompanied by the appropriate documentation and certificates. The export certificate guide provides an overview of where to obtain export certificates for your products.
