Food Safety Inspectors, at the time of application, must be eligible to take; or currently possess one of the following certifications:

Certified Professional - Food Safety (CP-FS); the NEHA REHS/RS or the Registered Sanitarian (RS) Certificate.

The Food Safety Inspector is a represented position covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

A 6 month probationary period is required upon appointment.
