Food Safety Inspectors, at the time of application, must be eligible to take; or currently possess one of the following certifications:
Certified Professional - Food Safety (CP-FS); the NEHA REHS/RS or the Registered Sanitarian (RS) Certificate.

ATCP codes listed below, once you connect to the website indicated above, on the left side of the screen, click on Wisconsin Law, then administrative code and register, then in center of page, Wisconsin Administrative Code, then left side of page click on Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, then below ATCP 12, click on the + symbol by “more”, the other chapters will be loaded, then scroll down and select ATCP 60, etc.
HFS code listed below, follow the same process as the ATCP codes, but find Health and Family Services instead of the Department of Agriculture.
NR code listed below, follow the same process as the ATCP codes, but find Natural Resources instead of the Department of Agriculture.

A 6 month probationary period is required upon appointment.
