DATCP Representation on Statutory Boards and Councils
DATCP is represented on the following statutory boards or councils that are attached to other agencies:
Groundwater Coordinating Council
The GCC is an interagency group that is directed by law to assist State agencies in the coordination and exchange of information related to groundwater programs.
Wisconsin Council on Invasive Species
The Invasive Species Council advises the Department of Natural Resources on its programs to control invasive species in this state.
Kickapoo Reserve Management Board
The Kickapoo Reserve Management Board administers the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, consisting of state-owned land adjacent to the Kickapoo River.
Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene Board
The Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene Board is responsible for directing and supervising the State Laboratory of Hygiene, attached to the University of Wisconsin.
Rural Economic Development Board
The Rural Economic Development Board works with the Department of Commerce to review applications, and make grants or loans for rural economic development.
State Fair Park Board
The State Fair Park Board manages the state fair park in West Allis and conducts the annual state fair and other events at State Fair Park.
Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory Board
The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory Board oversees the operation of the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, which is attached to the University of Wisconsin.
Waste Facility Siting Board
The Waste Facility Siting Board oversees the negotiation of local approvals for waste facility sites under s. 289.33, Stats.
