MADISON – To provide extra opportunities for Wisconsin commercial pesticide applicators to complete their certification exams, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has added two new large-group test sessions, including one on a Saturday.
The large-group tests will be given at two University of Wisconsin sites:
UW-La Crosse at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 1309 Centennial Hall, 308 16th St. N. Up to 100 people may take the test.
UW-Parkside, 12:05 p.m. Friday, April 11, Greenquist Hall 103, 900 Wood Road, Kenosha. Up to 150 people may take the test.
Small-group testing will also be available at the usual exam sites in Madison, Waukesha, Eau Claire, Wausau and Green Bay. However, these sites offer limited seating and exam times fill up quickly during the busy late winter and spring season. The two large group sites offer new locations, so that test-takers in those areas will not have to travel as far. In addition, the Saturday testing date accommodates those who have difficulty scheduling their exams during the week.
Online registration for all sites and test dates is available http://pestexam.datcp.wi.gov/. Phone registration is also available by calling 608-224-4548.
No training will be offered at the large-group test sites. Test-takers must buy a training manual for their application category before the test date. For information about training and training manuals, visit http://ipcm.wisc.edu/pat/.
